Is it permissible to pluck grey hair?
Question
Is it permissible islamically to pluck ones grey hair in beard?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is disliked to pluck one’s grey or white hair.[1] Nabī Sallallāhu Alaihi Wa Sallam has stated:
Do not pluck white hair. Whichever Muslim grows white hair in Islām, it will be Nūr (celestial light) for him on the Day of Judgment. (Sunan Abī Dāwūd)
However, if a young person has grey or white hair, it is permissible to pluck such hair as white and grey hair before its time is a defect. It is permissible to remove a defect.[2]

لَا تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبَ، مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَشِيبُ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ - قَالَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ: «إِلَّا كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» (سنن أبي داود، باب: في نتف الشيب)
