Question

I just need to know the Shara'an point of view of the name "Wania" please. As far as I have searched from books and online it means "A gift from ALLAH (SWT)."

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The word Wania (وانية) in Arabic comes from the root word Wana (ونى) which means to be weak.
