Tawaf Ziyarah without Wudhu
Question
I and my wife performed hajj this year. At start of Tawaf Ziarat Her wudo was broken but there was extreme rush and we had two children with us. It was very difficult to go out so she did tayyumum at same place and did Tawaf. Please tell me was it right and is there any damm on it?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In the enquired case, since the tayammum was not valid because of the availability of water nearby, you would need to make damm (sacrifice a sheep) for doing Tawaf-i-Ziyarah without wudhu.[1]

فَإِذَا طَافَ مِنْ غَيْرِ طَهَارَةٍ فَمَا دَامَ بِمَكَّةَ تَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ الْإِعَادَةُ؛ لِأَنَّ الْإِعَادَةَ جَبْرٌ لَهُ بِجِنْسِهِ، وَجَبْرُ الشَّيْءِ بِجِنْسِهِ أَوْلَى؛ لِأَنَّ مَعْنَى الْجَبْرِ، وَهُوَ التَّلَافِي فِيهِ أَتَمُّ ثُمَّ إنْ أَعَادَ فِي أَيَّامِ النَّحْرِ فَلَا شَيْءَ عَلَيْهِ، وَإِنْ أَخَّرَهُ عَنْهَا فَعَلَيْهِ دَمٌ فِي قَوْلِ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ، وَالْمَسْأَلَةُ تَأْتِي إنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِي مَوْضِعِهَا، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَعُدْ، وَرَجَعَ إلَى أَهْلِهِ فَعَلَيْهِ الدَّمُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ إنْ كَانَ مُحْدِثًا فَعَلَيْهِ شَاةٌ، وَإِنْ كَانَ جُنُبًا فَعَلَيْهِ بَدَنَةٌ؛ لِأَنَّ الْحَدَثَ يُوجِبُ نُقْصَانًا يَسِيرًا فَتَكْفِيهِ الشَّاةُ لِجَبْرِهِ كَمَا لَوْ تَرَكَ شَوْطًا
