Your sensitivity to earning a halal income is commendable. Earning a halal income invokes the mercy of Allah Ta’āla and barakah in one's wealth.
If your work at Nationwide Building Society does not entail any impermissible duties, then it will be permissible to work for such a company. On the contrary, if your responsibilities include engaging in interest transactions or any other impermissible duty, then it will not be permissible to accept such a position.[1]
