Answer
Music is expressly prohibited in many Ahaadith. Among the dominant purposes of our beloved Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) was to destroy musical instruments. (Mishkat vol.2). Ref. http://www.jamiat.org.za/v41ifta.html
