Answer

According to the Shari'ah, every individual's wealth is sanctified. That includes complete control over one's wealth. An adult female may use her wealth as she wish to within the parameters of Shari'ah.

She may spend upon herself as well as give charity. The husband has no right over the wife's wealth. If he uses his position as a husband to dominate his wife and her wealth, he will be sinful.

Ask AskImam

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (AskImam). It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
