What Islamic tertiary institutions are thre in the world and how many are there in SA? Are the ones in SA affiliated to international ones?
Question
I work in the construction engineering field and we are looking at the development of an Islamic University in Cape Town.
Answer
Unfortunately, we do not have statistics on hand on the number of tertiary Islamic institutions in the world or in South Africa.
Should you require any other assistance regarding the Islamic university, please feel free to contact us. A book, 'Directory of Muslim Institutions and Mosques in South Africa', may be of assistance to you. It is published by Murshid Davids, P.O. Box 546, Maraisburg 1700

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (AskImam). It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
