The question text was not published separately; the title stands in for it.

Please tell me if reading durood-e-jamilaa and other durood like that from punj soorah and other durood books is okay? please elaborate with example.

Answer

Duaa Jameela, Ganjul Arsh, etc. are Du'as prescribed by pious people. The Du'as are not from the Qur'an and Hadith verbatim. It is important that Du'as of such nature must be checked before print, i.e. the wordings are correct - sometimes due to repeated printing by different printers, there may occur a misprint.

Ask AskImam

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (AskImam). It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
