Authentic Translation Of The Quraan-e-Majeed
Question
I have being gifted a 13 line Quraan with line by line English translations.
The Quraan is based on the Yusuf Ali translation.
Is it advisable to use this quraan and are the translations authentic?
Answer
Due to the numerous defects found in this interpretation, translation, and commentary based on the research work titled “Errors of Yusuf Ali”, you should refrain from reading the translation of Yusuf Ali; rather opt for authentic translations such as Mufti Taqi’s translation (The Noble Quran), Tafseer-e-Usmani (with commentary), and Maariful Quran (with commentary).
