Difference Between Amaanat And Wadeeat
Question
Is there any difference between Wadeeat and Amaanats?
Answer
The usage of the word ‘Amaanat’ is more general than ‘Wadee’at’. Wadee’at is specific to that wealth which is entrusted to someone for its protection. And Amaanat is that wealth which is in the possession of the Ameen either for protection, or due to contemplating a transaction with someone (such as in a lay-by system), or due to some other reason. for example; the salary/wage of the employee in the hands of the employer is an Amaanat.
