Using the Miswaak Before Salaah
Question
Is it 2 separate sunnahs to use the miswaak in wudhu and after wudhu but before salaah?
If I don’t use the miswaak in wudhu but use it after wudhu and before the salaah (not immediately before but before going to the musallah), will I still get the reward of using the miswaak before salaah?
Answer
It is Sunnah Muakkadah to use the Miswaak during Wudhu, if one forgets to do so, then he may use the Miswaak before Salaah to attain the reward. If one had already utilized the Miswaak during Wudhu, Allamah Ibn Aabideen (rahmatullahi alaih) mentions that it will be mustahab to use the Miswaak before Salaah.
However, one should be cautious, that the gums do not start bleeding due to this action, which can become the cause of the breakage of Wudhu.
