Black Mehndi
Question
Is black mehndi permitted for ladies to use on their nails?
Answer
It is meritorious, in fact Mustahab (preferable) for women to apply Mehndi. The Mehndi should be red or more towards redness in colour. None of the books of the jurists have stated any ruling in regards to the permissibility of applying black Mehndi, thus abstention is advised.
