Men Wearing Earrings
Question
Needed to know the permissibility of men wearing earnings In ear. What jewellery are men allowed to wear. Could the reasoning be given as well please.
Answer
Men are not permitted to wear earrings. Men are permitted to wear (finger) rings made of pure silver with the proviso that the weight does not exceed 4.374g.
By men wearing earrings they would be resembling women. The Hadith states that the curse of Allah is upon those men who resemble women and similarly those women who resemble men, hence men are required to refrain from wearing earrings.
