Liability For Damages Not Caused By A Tenant
Question
What is the ruling concerning external damage to a property caused by hailstorm. Who is responsible the tenant or landlord?
Answer
Under normal circumstances the lessor is responsible for all external maintenance related to the premises, hence the landlord will be responsible for the external damage caused by a hailstorm unless stated otherwise in the lease agreement, or/and was agreed upon by both parties.
