What To Recite Near A Mayyit
Question
When sitting near the Mayyit what should one read? Tasbih, Quraan or Yaseen?
Answer
When sitting near the mayyit one could engage in any form of Ibaadat be it Tasbih, recitation of Surah Yaseen or Tilaawat of other sections of the Quraan. However, one should abstain from reciting Qur’aan near the mayyit before ghusl is given to the mayyit.
