Leaving The Home With The Left Foot
Question
At the time of leaving home, which foot should be forwarded first?
Answer
The Ulama have recommended entering the home with the right foot and leaving the home with the left foot based on the principle that all respectful and honourable actions should be done with one’s right limbs and all despicable actions should be done with the left limbs.

فالأوجه أن الدخول من باب التكريم وأن الخروج من باب الإهانة بالاعتبار الذي قررته أخذا من كلامهم في لبس نحو الثوب وخلعه إذا المعنى الذي لحظوه في اللبس موجود في دخول الدار ، والذي لحظوه في الخلع موجود في الخروج كما هو ظاهر للمتأمل ، والله سبحانه وتعالى أعلم
