Celebrating one Eid on different days
Question
We celebrated the last Eid-ul-Adha on different days in our country. Can Eid Salaah be performed in the Masjid on two different days?
Answer
It will be acceptable to have Eid Salaah on both days in light of the difference of opinion amongst the scholars. Those that have accepted the view that Friday will be the 10th of Dhul Hijjah (this year) may perform their Eid Salaah in the Masjid on Friday, whilst the remainder may do so on Saturday in the Masjid.
