Performing a particular Salaah on Lailatul Raghaa’ib (1st night of Jumuah in Rajab)
Question
I’ve recently read somewhere about a night called Laylatul Raghaa’ib. It’s the first night of Jumu’ah during the month of Rajab. A special Salaah and selected Duas have been prescribed for this night. Is this authentic? Can Muftisahib further elaborate on this?
Answer
The commentator of Bukhari Sharif has written that there is no basis for such Salaah. This is a Bid’ah (innovation).
