Smoking
Question
What is the ruling regarding cigarettes, vape, and Huqqah?
Answer
Smoking is extremely harmful to the human body in various ways. In fact, the cigarette packaging itself states that cigarettes are cancerous. Further, the packaging also warns of smoking being a health hazard. Hence, it is Makrooh-e-Tahrimi to smoke.
Also, by smoking one is harming and inconveniencing other human beings as well as the environment. One is squandering his wealth which is a great bounty of Allah Ta’ala. Whilst millions starve in the world, the smoker is busy burning the bounty of Allah Ta’ala. The sexual ability of a person becomes weaker, whilst the lungs of the smoker are destroyed. These are just some of the basic harms which we have listed above. In conclusion, smoking is Makrooh-e-Tahreemi.
In conclusion, smoking cigarettes, Huqqah and vape is Makrooh, hence one should refrain from smoking.
