Aayaat and Duas for protection from evil eye
Question
1. A few months ago Muftisahib had visited Zambia and an Islaahi program was held at Masjid e Noor. Hazrat had mentioned in the Bayaan a Wazifa that is to be prayed on a new born child for protection. Please can Muftisahib remind us of it.
2. In addition to the Manzil, please provide any other recommended surahs/verses from the Quraan that can prayed on the child for protection against Shaitaan/evil eye ?
Answer
1. Regarding the Wazifa discussed in the Zambia program for protection from Nazr, the following Amal has been prescribed which is extremely beneficial for the protection of children. This Amal is also recorded in Ma’ariful Quraan on Page 539, Vol.8. The following verse should be recited 11 times:
2. The Dua that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam read for the protection of his grandchildren is amongst the best Duas that one can recite for the protection of one’s own children and grandchildren. This is the same Dua that Ibrahim Alaihis Salaam would recite for his children Hadrat Ismail and Hadrat Ishaq Alaihimas Salaam. The Dua is as follows:

3. The following Dua could also be recited thrice morning and evening:
In the name of Allah (I seek protection) for my Deen, my life, my children, my family and my wealth.

وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ

اَعِيْذُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُعَوِّذُ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، وَيَقُولُ:«أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ» وَيَقُولُ: «كَانَ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ يُعَوِّذُ بِهَا إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ» (سنن ابي داود)
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ عَلَى دِيْنِيْ وَنَفْسِي وَوَلَدِيْ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي (عمل اليوم والليلة)
