Acceptance of Umrah of one that does not maintain his spouse
Question
Is the Umrah of a person who does not support his wife and fulfil his duties accepted?
Answer
If the Umrah was performed correctly as required in terms of Shariah, then the Umrah will be valid. However, he will be sinful and accountable in the court of Allah for not supporting his wife and attending to his duties and obligations.
