Performing Esha Salaah in a Musallah during Ramadaan
Question
I will be leading the Taraweeh Salaah at a Jamaat khana. Throughout the year all 5 salaah are performed at the Jamaat Khana with the exception of Jumuah. The crowd is large as there are many flats nearby even larger than the Masjid. My question is should I perform my Esha salaah at the Masjid which is about 3 minutes away, or can i perform my Esha at this Jamaat Khana? If I perform Esha at the Masjid i will be late for Taraweeh as I am reading first. What should I do?
Answer
The reward of performing Salaah in a Masjid is far superior to performing Salaah in a Musallah, hence it is best that Salaah is performed in the Masjid. However, since 5 daily Salaah take place at the Musallah throughout the year, you may perform your Esha Salaah at the Musallah and then lead the Taraweeh Salaah.
