Sajdah-e-Shukr
Question
After reading Nafl Salaah or Qadha Salaah, can I make Sajdah Shukr? After every Salaam, I go down in Sajdah, make Shukr and sometimes make a small Dua. Is this acceptable?
Answer
To make Sajdah Shukr is permissible and it is established from Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. However, the Fuqaha have mentioned that it should not be made after Fardh or Witr Salaah as the general masses may consider it to be Sunnah or Waajib. However, there is no issue making Sajda-e-Shukr after Qadha Salaah.
