Women attending a mixed gym

Is it permissible for a female to attend a mixed gym if she dresses modestly and lowers her gaze?
Answer
It is Haraam for a female to attend a. gym even if she dresses modestly and lowers her gaze. The Quraan Sharif clearly states, “Remain in your homes and do not make a display of yourselves as was the practice of the former period of ignorance…” [Surah 33, Verse 33]
