Using good quality fragrant soap to wash the deceased body

Q. Is it permissible to use good quality fragrant soap to wash the deceased body?
Answer
In principle, there are no specific restrictions regarding the type of soap to be used for the Ghusl of a deceased body. As such, it is permissible to use any soap, whether high or low quality and regardless of whether it is scented or unscented. (Hindiyyah 1/158)
