The faraaidh of Salaah
Question
I want to know what are the faraaidh of Salaah?
Answer
There are six faraaidh in Salaah. They are as follows:
1. The takbeer-e-Tahreema
2. To make Qiyaam (i.e. to stand and perform the Salaah when one is able).
3. To recite the Qiraat in each rakaat (i.e. to recite three small verses of the Qur'an or one long verse).
4. To perform the ruku' in each rakaat of the Salaah.
5. To perform the two Sajdahs in each rakaat of the Salaah.
6. To sit in the last Qa'dah for the duration of tashahhud.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

فرائض الصلاة ستة التحريمة لقوله تعالى ( وربك فكبر ) والمراد تكبيرة الافتتاح والقيام لقوله تعالى ( وقوموا لله قانتين ) والقراءة لقوله تعالى ( فاقرؤوا ما تيسر من القرآن ) والركوع والسجود لقوله تعالى ( واركعوا واسجدوا ) والقعدة في آخر الصلاة مقدار التشهد لقوله عليه الصلاة والسلام لابن مسعود رضي الله عنه حين علمه التشهد إذا قلت هذا أو فعلت هذا فقد تمت صلاتك علق التمام بالفعل قرأ أو لم يقرأ (الهداية 1/ 98)
