Why Allah Ta'ala destroyed the previous nations
Question
My question is why Allah destroyed the previous nations? What are the reasons behind those destructions? I know some reasons that are 1) because of polytheism 2) because they hate Muslims 3) they tortured Muslims. But I want to know the central point for destruction. Because if they tortured Muslims then in the current era Israelis are also torturing Muslims. So what is the point here. I read a verse that "If we will not destroy them they will spread fitnah on land thats why we will killed them" but I lost this verse. Can you tell me this exact verse number in the Qur'an?
Answer
It was not just torturing, it was a whole host of sins and the Muslims in that era were firm and steadfast and devout.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
