Sunnah method of ghusal
Question
Is this the correct method of ghusul? First do niyyah, then wash hands up to wrist three times, then gargle three times, then wash the private areas. Perform wudhu like normal, pour water over the head three time and recite kalima, then wipe off water from right shoulder three times then left? I have been using this method.
Answer
The Sunnah method of making ghusal is that one commences by washing the hands and thereafter washing the private areas. Thereafter one should make wudhu and then one should wash the entire body thrice. One will commence by washing the head thrice and thereafter by washing the right and left shoulder thrice. One should ensure that one gargles the mouth and rinses the nostrils while making wudhu as this is fardh in ghusal.
