Zakaat on unit trust investments
Question
When paying zakaat on unit trusts investments, does one pay on the original amount invested or the current value?
Answer
After studying the current balance sheet, one will pay on his proportionate amount of the current zakaatable assets in the company.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
