Zakaat on currency
Question
I realised that I had 100 riyals in my possession for the past 2 years which I did not include in my zakaat calculation. How much zakaat must I pay for it?
Answer
You should immediately discharge the zakaat of the 100 riyaals for the previous two years (i.e. 2.5% of 100 riyaals or its equivalent value in another currency).
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
