The name "Aaliyah"
Question
I want to ask the meaning of the name Aaliyah and Aaliah. Can I keep this name for my daughter? Kindly respond because most of the people giving different opinions about that.
Answer
The meaning is 'High'.
We are more comfortable with the names of the pious of the past, like Khadeejah, Maryam, etc.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
