Spending on one's family on the day of Aashura
Question
In the Hadith regarding increasing your spending on Aashura
1. Who does the word ahl or iyaal refer to?
2. Will I get the reward mentioned in the Hadith Sharif if I give gifts to my immediate family i. e. Wife and children?
3. My Extended family e.g. Siblings, nephews, in-laws etc?
4. My Friends?
5. My Students?
Answer
1. Household, family.
2 - 3. Insha-Allah.
4 - 5. We advise you not to overdo this. Just keep it within your family.
