Question

I would like to ask regarding eating at a restaurant. If lets say your boss is not a Muslim and the rest of your colleagues aren't either, and they ask you to join for a dinner at a five star restaurant but that place sells alcohol. They know you cannot eat there but they insist and they say that they are going to help ask the chef to make a halaal dish just for me. Even if they are able to, I am still uncomfortable. I know their intentions are good. My question is, how do I explain to them that I cannot join in a nice way.

Answer

Inform them that your religion does not permit you to eat at such places.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
