Suspending the talaaq upon getting in contact with a certain person
Question
My husband told me the day I get into contact with my friend either by message, call or social network, I will automatically get my 3 talaaqs. My question is I urgently need to talk with my friend. Is it possible to talk with her without getting my talaaq? If it is possible please advise how this can be done in my situation?
Answer
If by messaging, your husband refers to messaging directly through the internet or social media etc. then perhaps you can communicate in this manner by sending the message to a third person who will then pass it on to your friend. You may refer to other ulama as well.
