Moving the lips when making zikr
Question
Is a person rewarded if he does zikr in his heart (without moving his tongue), or is it necessary for movement of the tongue in order to get rewarded for zikr?
Answer
It is permissible, however our ulama emphasize that it is more efficient to do it by the lips, for at times it is possible that the mind may stray away from zikr and you may not even realize it.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
