Husband saying he will give his wife three talaaqs
Question
If a person expresses in a threatening way in front of a relative over telephone (not in presence of his wife) that he will give his wife three talaqs, then what is the ruling?
Answer
If he said he will give his wife three talaaqs, then since he did not yet issue the talaaqs, the talaaqs have not yet taken place.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
