Certain Ism of Allah for certain purposes
Question
If you read a certain Ism of Allah will it help with a certain purpose... Eg. Falling pregnant, or for success etc.
Answer
These are all experiences of people. There is no Qur'aanic or hadeeth evidence for this. Hence, the permissibility of reciting this will remain. However, one should not believe that this is a sunnat practice. Rather it is just a type of treatment.

عن أبي سعيد الخدري أن ناسا من أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم * كانوا في سفر فمروا بحي من أحياء العرب فاستضافوهم فلم يضيفوهم فقالوا لهم هل فيكم راق فإن سيد الحي لديغ أو مصاب فقال رجل منهم نعم فأتاه فرقاه بفاتحة الكتاب فبرأ الرجل فأعطي قطيعا من غنم فأبى أن يقبلها وقال حتى أذكر ذلك للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فأتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فذكر ذلك له فقال يا رسول الله والله ما رقيت إلا بفاتحة الكتاب فتبسم وقال وما أدراك أنها رقية ثم قال خذوا منهم واضربوا لي بسهم معكم في باب جواز أخذ الأجرة على الرقية بالقرآن والأذكار (صحيح مسلم رقم 2201)
