Pattern mehndi
Question
My sister is getting married soon. My ummi insists that she applies mendhi on her nails for the engagement/nikaah. She just wants patterns on her hands and feet. What’s the relevance of mendhi at nikaah time and where and how should it be applied?
Answer
Applying mehndhi is sunnah for women. Similarly it is permissible for women to draw patterns as long as it does not resemble the styles of kuffaar.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
