The difference between Shaitaan and nafs
Question
How can we tell the difference between the whispering of shaitaan and the "whispering" (or inclinations, impulses?) of the nafs (human soul, ego, mind)?
Answer
The shaytaan's intention is to drown you in some sin or the other and the nafs drags you to some temptation, and until and unless you have not fulfilled that temptation it will keep nagging you.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
