Wearing a shawl
Question
I see many Qaris and imaams wearing a shawl over their shoulders and some use the Saudi scarf and put it over their shoulders. I wanted to ask if this is part of the Sunnah dressing of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and why do they wear this shawl / scarf?
Answer
Wearing a shawl is proven in the Hadith. Hence it is a Sunnah. As for the Saudi scarf, how can it be considered a Sunnah when it only commenced from the time of the Saudis.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
