Taking an oath never to do a certain haraam action
Question
My friend is asking, she promised to Allah that " Ya Allah wallahi I will never do this haram". After few days she broke the promise. Will she have to do kaffara and what is it?
Answer
Yes.
The kaffaarah for breaking an oath is that one will feed ten poor people two meals each, or give each one of them the equivalent of sadaqatul fitr or clothe each one of them.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
