Husband demanding an exorbitant amount for khula
Question
My husband is demanding an amouny of 12 laakh for khula. The amount of haq mehr was 50,000. Is it justified to ask for such a huge amount for khula? I am unable to afford this amount. What should I do?
Answer
He does not have any basis to ask for such an amount.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
