Developing software for a bank

I am a software developer. My company gave me a task that I have to make an application where I will check that a person is eligible for bank loan or not. In the whole developing process, there is no any entry of interest. My task is only to check that is person eligible for the loan or not? As we know, bank loan process is interest based that is why I am asking this question. But the application that I will make only tells if that person is eligible or not.
