Showing oneself as a Shia in order to gain citizenship
Question
Please advise if Islam allows a Sunni Muslim to show himself as Shia so he can apply religious asylum in USA or any other country? Is this permissible in Islam?

This is a betrayal to Islam.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
