Clipping the wings of one's pet bird
Question
I am considering purchasing a budgie bird. Will it be permissible to cut its wings in a manner that it will not be able to fly? This would make it easier to handle it.
Answer
As long as you do not cause it any pain or harm and take good care of it and ensure that it is comfortable then it is permissible.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
