Importance of unity in the Ummah

Can you please tell me some advices/the importance of unity in the ummah and also how eating together creates unity.

Study the books "Al-I`tidaal" and "Hudood-e-Ikhtilaaf".
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
