Breeding and selling freshwater and aquatic snails
Question
Is it permissible to breed and sell freshwater and aquatic snails? People keep these type of snails in their fish tanks. I do not think anyone (Muslims and non-Muslims) eat them in South Africa.
Answer
Yes.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Mufti Online — Madrasah Ta'leemuddeen. It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
