Sitting in the tashahud position while listening to the khutbah
Question
I would like to find out what is the significance of sitting in the tashahud position while listening to the khutbah (with ones hands on ones lap). I witness it on jummah's often.
Answer
It is not a sunnat to sit in that position at the time of the khutbah though it is a good position to be sitting in.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
