Question

Is it permissible to say 'salam ya Allah' and 'salam ya Muhammad'?

Answer

Allah is As-Salaam. So you cannot send salaam to Allah Ta`ala. And this is not the way to greet Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). This is a fabrication. Leave out the fabricated style of greeting. Adopt the way that was practised by the sahaabah and the pious of the past.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Mufti Online — Madrasah Ta'leemuddeen. It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
