Speaking lies to avoid trouble
Question
Is it ok to lie in order to save yourself from trouble if what you are doing is not sinful at all but only looked down upon because of culture? If so or if not can you please provide an example?
Answer
If you are going to save yourself from disgrace and embarrassment and you will not be depriving any person of his rights, it will be permissible.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
